Chisara's Gold Balm- is a special all purpose skin conditioner with a 50% shea butter base, essential oils and emu oil (a trans dermal carrier). It can be used alone (in place of lotions, creams and massage oils).

For all products: Start by rubbing a small, pea-sized (more if needed), amount between the palm of your hands and massage it over body. It melt's like butter because it's made from a nut butter base, Shea butter, from West African **Karite trees .  When using Chisara's Gold, make sure you pay particular attention to dry stressed areas of your skin and muscles.

**The Karite tree is also know as the Tree of Life or Shea tree.

Like all natural products, this depends on storage conditions.  We recommend that you store Chisara's Gold and Ori Gold in a cool dry place and use them within a six month period. It is not necessary to refrigerate the products. However, you may want to do so, if a product is melted because of exposure to higher than normal temperatures. Shea Butter is butter and therefore has a low melting temperature. Like all skin care products, these should handled with clean hands and utensils.

Before Cleopatra, these women depended on harvesting the fruits and extracting the butterfat from its nut to make we now call Shea butter. Local Governments supported by UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and the Food and Agricultural Organization are working to maintain this source of livelihood for these women.
