Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii) : West African healers have used Ori, Karite (TREE OF LIFE) commonly known as shea butter, for thousands of years to relieve problems of the skin and scalp while being extremely moisturizing and gentle to the skin. Its healing properties distinguish it from other butters. Traditional uses of Shea butter include: treatments for hair, scalp, skin, blemishes skin discoloration, scars and wrinkles; muscle relaxing; as an aid for pain from swelling and arthritis; and even as a sunscreen. It has been clinically observed to increase local capillary circulation, which in turn increases tissue re-oxygenation and improves the elimination of metabolic waste products.
Emu Oil (Dromiceius novaehol-landiae): The aborigines of Australia have been applying Emu oil to their wounds with excellent results for centuries. Some of its known properties are: Anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, skin regenerative, high in oleic acid (oleic acid has better skin penetrating qualities than vegetable oils), moisturizing, doesn't clog pores. Emu oil is a trans dermal carrier that penetrates through several layers of skin carrying other oils with it. A good massage oil for muscle aches and strains: very helpful for arthritis pain and inflammation.
Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis): sweet almond oil has nutritional value for all skin types. Similar to baby's sebum, the oil naturally produced by the skin to protect it, it is easily absorbed. Contains glucosides, minerals, and vitamins and is rich in protein. It was highly valued by the Egyptians for cosmetic purposes.
Beeswax: emollient and support for moisturizers.
Slight anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. Doesn't provoke allergic reactions. Works with sunscreens to protect the skin.
Vegetable Glycerin (Glycerin USP 99%): emollient and humectant qualities
Menthol (Mentha arvensis): Cooling, external analgesic relief (painkiller)
